Alison learnt to sew at the age of 5. First by hand then with a little red toy sewing machine. She now owns 4 “grown up’ machines and 2 overlockers (including her amazing HD overlocker, Gary! )
From the start she knew fabric likes to be played with, patterns want you to break the rules and clothes are for creating your own unique journey through life.
Her dressmaking adventure has taken her from the first bespoke commission at the age of 15, to a City and Guilds in Fashion Design whilst working as a Staff Nurse on Intensive Care and more recently all the way to Central St Martins to study Womens Fashion.
Alison believes making garments should be fun and exciting.
So that’s what her classes and social sessions are about….. your own unique journey.
